| Anchor Boys are on Tuesday nights from 5.30pm -
7pm in St Johns (P1 - P3, age 4.5-7). Junior Section is on Monday nights from 7pm - 8.30pm in St Johns (P4 - P6, age 8-10). Company Section is on Friday nights 7pm-10pm and Sunday 10am-10.40am (P7+, age 11-18). New members will be made most welcome. |

Congratulations Congratulations go to our Captain Alan Aitken after being awarded the MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours, for services to the Boys' Brigade and Inverclyde. I am sure that this has just put the icing on the cake after a really great year for the Company. Well done Alan from all the Boys and Staff, Parents and Friends well deserved National 5s Once again our senior team got into the UK finals. They finished 4th overall and are currently joint Scottish Champions, sharing the title with 3rd Gourock. Pictures and more detail to be online soon. Our Junior team are also Scottish Champions!! They are travelling down to England soon to compete in the UK finals. Pictures and more details online soon. Well done to both teams. Company Golf Outing On Sunday 9th April a group of 30 travelled though to St Andrews to compete for the boys golf competition. David McLaughlin won the trophy with a net score of 58. Well done to everyone you all did very well, apart from me who shot 110. Battalion Gymnastics Competition The gymnastics competition was run for the first time in 3 years, and it had a new format. As current holders the pressure was on to retain the title. The team of 4 boys did really well and won the competition by a few points. Well done David, Chris, Ross and Calum. Junior Section NoN FOOTBALL battalion Competitions A new Art Competition was introduced this year with Gavin McBride winning the 1st year competition, we did badly in Bible Challenge 4th out of 6, 2nd in a very close General Knowledge comp.Team winners in Cross Country (picking up 5medals with Greg Williams picking up the 3rd year individual Cup), Joint winners of the UniHoc competition and Swimming Team trophy incl. 9 individual medals Junior Section Football league, summer Cup and 5-asides The Junior Section played the league decider against 3rd Greenock which unfortunately they lost 4-2 but redeemed themselves the following week in the Summer Cup being undefeated winners of the trophy which now sits nicely along side the 5-aside trophy won earlier in the year. Well done to Mr Snoddy and his team for a great season. Junior Section Figure Marching The Junior Section once again took part in the annual Figure Marching Competition and after a good wee battle they deservedly won the Trophy for the 6th year in succession. Very well done to the boys who came on leaps and bounds in the last 6 weeks Camping Stories Jenny's book 'Campsites Revisited' will shortly be available. Giving her memories of many happy Camps |

New Session Start Dates Company Section (Primary 7 to 18yrs)- Friday 18th August, 7pm till 9pm (normally 10pm ), casual kickoff night off to Battery Park, weather permitting Junior Section (primary 4 to 6) - Monday 21st August 7pm till 8:30pm if you have YAC please come along afterwards Anchor Boys (Primary 1 to 3)- Tuesday 22nd August, 5:30pm till 7pm for any boy in Primary 1 to 3 we are trained and insured to take in boys under 5yrs if they are in primary 1
